One Hour Ozone Averages

Save the Air in Nevada County’s mission is to collect reliable data about ozone, educate the public, advocate for air pollution control measures, and protect our children from respiratory illness. To track current ozone levels in the Grass Valley/Nevada City area, we operate our own monitors in each of those cities and graph data from air quality agencies. Click here to see where the two portable ozone monitors are currently located. And see the current one-hour average ozone readings below:
Save the Air in Nevada County – One Hour Ozone Averages

The graph shows the current one-hour average ozone readings from STA in NC’s ozone monitors and several agencies. Due to the complex terrain in our area and its impact on local wind patterns, ozone levels can vary significantly over short distances. Therefore, when viewing these graphs it is important to remember that these ozone readings are only representative of the immediate area near the monitor locations.

Please check the time indicated above the graph to make sure you are seeing the most current ozone readings. If the time is not current, click your browser’s “refresh” button to obtain the most recent readings.
